When I asked Legend last week if he would miss school over the summer, he didn't say anything, he just started to cry. I thought that meant he would miss his teacher and friends. But then when I asked him again last Friday, he said he was excited because that meant he could start doing harder homework (when he got into first grade).
He loves learning and he has loved school this last year. And I think he is sad to have to take a break from it. But he looks forward to the challenge of school again in the fall.
